Paso de las Nubes
Key information: Paso de las Nubes 
- Cross the continental watershed on this fabulous trek over the Pass of the Clouds following a route to the east of Monte Tronador, a vast massif covered entirely in glaciers in the Parque Nacional Nahuel Huapi.
- A good alternative to the full Nahuel Huapi Traverse if time is short.
- Walk through the varied flora and fauna of the rainforest around Paso de las Nubes, see the colossal ice formations of the glaciers coming off Monte Tronador and get sprayed by the mist of crashing waterfalls.
- Extend by trekking across the border into Chile.
- Although the risk is fairly minimal, you should be aware that if you visit some of the glaciated areas, there is a danger of ice falling from hanging glaciers higher up.
