I would submit that "human interest" should receive a higher grade for the East Coast Trail: there are ruins and marks of former human settlement on almost every leg of this trail, including (but not limited to) remains of settlement at a number of legs, ie. Vales Meadow on the Tinkers Point Path and Staffordside on the Cape Spear Trail, former WWII gun batteries on the Cobbler Path leg, and the resettled community of La Manche at the trailhead of the La Manche Village Path. This trail was given a "2" rating for "human interest" and should be much, much higher in my humble opinion. While the ECT is primarily a nature trail, it walks through the places our forefathers settled and lived.
