I would rate as moderate, although the altitude, up to 4200 meters can be an issues for those who live at sea level. Best taken from Paro to Thimphu for either 4 to 6 days. We did it in 5 days which is a nice pace with plenty of tim to take in the scenery. Went in early April. Still had some snow late afternoon and early evening.
