Damavand
Key information: Damavand
- Damavand is a huge, rough, barren, dramatic, extinct volcano, and at 5671m, the highest point in the Alborz mountains.
- This is fine but tough walking, and extremely altitudinous. We have seen a firm proposing a there-and-back in 3 days, with a 1,470m climb to the peak. To be avoided on health grounds.
- ANYONE GOT ANY GOOD PHOTOS? WE WOULD BE DELIGHTED TO POST THEM!
