This area of the Tian Shan Mountains is close to Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan's capital, but you will find yourself in high, remote mountains complete with glaciers and gorges, forests and rivers. Exciting, dramatic scenery and some lovely walking.
This can be tough walking in high, remote mountains, on which you will have to be self-sufficient and where altitude can cause problems. Come prepared.
