WALK SUMMARY
- A few operators – Yemen Trekking ( www.yemen-trekking.com ), ( www.yementrek.com - ask for Noman).
- Start-point cities (villages to westerners) are Manakhah and Al-Hajjarah
- Mostly camping, very few places to stay, other than with locals, who are generally very friendly and hospitable (although conservative).
- No reliable trekking maps, and outside of Manakhah the dialect makes the Arabic sound very different – a guide is necessary.
- Good day walks are possible from Al-Hajjarah.
