WALK SUMMARY
Walkopedia friend Charles Bookman says:
“This is a half-day hike to a viewpoint with a gorgeous view of Huaraz and the Cordillera Blanca. Take the no. 10 collective taxi from near the market about twenty minutes out of town, where a small side bridge crosses the Rio Santa (the driver will know the location). Follow the well-worn track up through modest farms. The small lake is about 350m (1,200 ft) above the river, and the viewpoint is a short walk around the lake. (The no. 10 collective taxi runs about every ten minutes, so getting a ride back to town is no problem.)”
