WALK SUMMARY
The stupendous Angel Falls is the world’s tallest waterfall (at 979m); and has the tallest uninterrupted plunge (of 807m), followed by another 400m of sloped cascading falls.
One of the Seven Natural Wonders of South America and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Reaching Angel Falls is an adventure itself, with a 4-5 hour, motorised long-canoe trip through the rainforest followed by a fairly strenuous 90 minute hike to the viewpoint near the foot of the fall. Ie, it is worth spending a night there.
