WALK SUMMARY
Just south-east of Sete Cidades is a contorted area of small craters in an area called the Serra Devassa, which must have been extraordinarily active at one point. Among and in them are sprinkled a number of tarns and small lakes.
A shortish (1hr30ish) and longer path snake along the crater edges, to enjoy huge views all around, and by thickly vegetated lakesides to add interest and charm. Time well spent.
