THIS PAGE IS AT AN EARLY STAGE OF DEVELOPMENT. PLEASE HELP US BY MAKING SUGGESTIONS AND SENDING PHOTOS! THANK YOU!
Wandering along the first proper ridge east of Goreme, on the other side of which is the lower Rose Valley, is a superb experience, especially if you follow the Goreme-facing side of the ridge south-east for a bit, taking in particularly dramatic formations and some fascinating rock-houses.
Get there in late afternoon if you possibly can, for fantastic light and colours.
See our Cappadocia page for further detailed information on the area.
