WALK SUMMARY
THIS PAGE IS AT AN EARLY STAGE OF DEVELOPMENT. PLEASE HELP US BY MAKING SUGGESTIONS AND SENDING PHOTOS! THANK YOU!
Wandering along the southern edge of this valley between Goreme and the open-air museum is particularly rewarding, with its wide 'oramas over the countryside as well as views down into the valley itself. Dramatic formations and a marvellous little chapel (with ceiling paintings) carved into a single protrusion early on.
Or you can walk along the valley bottom or a closer look at the remains there - or create a combination of the two. Some fascinating rock-hewn churches and houses.
Easy walking from Goreme town - or explore on the way back from the open-air museum. I.e. easily and flexibly fitted in!
See our Cappadocia page for further detailed information on the area.
