Saryu to Ram Ganga Valleys
Key information: Saryu to Ram Ganga Valleys
- Delightful but not difficult 10-ish day trek at low altitude (well, maximum 3,240m) in remote valleys, crossing passes with excellent views of the nearby Pankhwa Dhar range and the further Nanda Devi group. Lovely meadow campsites.
- Best months: all year, but avoid monsoon (late June-mid Sept).
- Tough walking in remote mountains, where altitude can cause real problems. Come fully prepared, including proper acclimatization. Good info in Trekking and Climbing in the Indian Himalaya. Check the current permit requirements.
