WALK SUMMARY
Create your own circuit on the footpaths of this lovely valley, circling round the Black mountains' northern escarpment ridge to the magical ruins (almost completely grass-covered) of the castle at Castell Dinas.
Clasic scenery of its kind, hill farmland in a narrowing valley which recedes into the grass heart of the ridges near the mountains' highest point, Waun Fach.Gain huge views northward over the upper Wye valley.
This is not a specially "known" walk ? Walkopedia simply thought it looked lovely on the map - evidence of the walking riches to be found here. You can easily extend this walk along the northern escarpment, or take in Waun Fach.
